PHYSICIAN CODE OF CONDUCT

This document serves as the universal Code of Conduct for physicians utilizing the Luma Meds platform. Our goal is to align the values and philosophies of Luma Meds and the physicians who practice on the platform. This Code of Conduct may be updated periodically based on feedback from affiliated physicians and operational experience to ensure patients consistently receive the highest quality of care.

Best Practices on the Platform

Be Patient

Telemedicine is a new experience for many patients. They may ask questions that seem obvious. Please be sensitive to their concerns and work with them to determine the best course of treatment.

Always Explain

Always provide a detailed explanation to a patient whether you find it appropriate to write a prescription or not.

Follow Up

The platform may automatically follow up with patients who receive treatment plans. If additional follow-up is needed, schedule communications or contact Medical Operations.

Document

Always thoroughly document your decisions and rationale for treatment decisions.

Check-In

Physicians with the highest patient satisfaction rates check messages at least once per day.

Conduct Expectations on the Platform

Verify Identity

ID & Photo Match: Confirm the identity of the patient and ensure uploaded identification matches the patient's submitted photo.Personal Information: Confirm that identifying information matches government-issued identification.

Follow State Protocols

Never provide treatment or medical advice until the required physician-patient relationship has been established.

Treat Oldest Requests First

Patients who have been waiting the longest should generally be reviewed first whenever clinically appropriate.

Each consultation deserves your full attention.
